Pembrokeshire based Llety Farm is a secluded small holding just minutes away from St Davids and the unspoilt National Coastal Path. While famous parts of the coast like the Blue Lagoon and Porthgain harbour are very close by, it takes only a 10 minute drive to be at any side of the peninsula. Consequently within easy reach are Solva, also boasting of its wonderful natural harbour, Newgale beach and Whitesands. We are so close to so many beautiful spots.
The original farm building was built in the 1800’s using Pembrokeshire stone. In the 1970’s Llety was one of the first farms to diversify into the B&B business. They doubled the size of the original cottage to produce a six bedroom property. However this came to a natural end in the 90’s and was left empty for a number of years. Hence we came along in 2014 and set to work to reclaim its original features and inject some modern amenities. After a lot of love and hard work we finally took it from the 1970’s into the 21st century, giving a whole new life to the farm and its surroundings. Llety Farm opened its doors to our first B&B guests in November 2016. From our first season until now we have thoroughly enjoyed meeting all our guests who have travelled from all over the world to explore Pembrokeshire.
Historically Pembrokeshire has a strong farming tradition so Llety Farm needed some animals again. As a result chickens were introduced, then nine sheep came in June 2017. These were joined by some more the following December. Nine of our sheep were in lamb, consequently the month of April was a steep learning curve with ewes and new born lambs. Therefore this gave Maggie our sheep dog and us plenty to do with our day.
Certainly this Pembrokeshire farm provides us with plenty to do every day, lambing, looking after the chickens, gardening, mending, building, and of course looking after our visitors! It certainly keeps us very busy!
We are really looking forward to this new season and hope to provide a relaxing home from home experience.
Join us and enjoy the tranquility of Llety, watch the Swallows, the Linnets and the Wagtails dancing in the air in and around the barns. It’s time to get away, to unwind….
